traditional + funky

gina wanted the traditional senior portrait as well as funky portrait with her longboard. we had a blast in the parking lot creating a more urban feel for gina's longboard portraits.

capturing change

Everything these days happens so fast and it is wonderful when we slow down to really see.
Pregnancy is nine months which at first seems like a lifetime. During my pregnancy, I often seemed to be more concerned with the future then really focusing on the present. When I took the time to photograph my own growing belly during my pregnancy, I cherished the time to slow down to look at myself and what my body was doing. Pregnancy is such an amazing time in a woman's life. Everything is changing. My own belly photos mean so much to me and I can't believe Madeleine was in there.
I loved being able to capture this moment for Laura + Kevin so they can remember and reflect on this time in the future. This time will always be remembered for them as well.

anahata

it was a busy week with portraits! on tuesday, i photographed a sweet little peanut, anahata.
anahata is the heart chakra which symbolizes the consciousness of love, empathy, selflessness and devotion. what a beautiful name for a beautiful little girl.

i first met ellis when she was just a few weeks old. she was such a peanut and now she is about to crawl! the smiles and giggles would not stop.
on a side note, riley is a talented graphic designer who created my logo. check out her site, www.rileyhutchens.com.
